Dutch hospitals have been struggling with a shortage of medical isotopes since the beginning of November. This is due to a defect in the Belgian nuclear reactor BR2 that coincides with planned maintenance in the Dutch high flux reactor (HFR) in Petten.

As of January 1, 2023, DUOS board member Dr. Inge van Oort will hand over her seat to Dr. Daniela Oprea. Daniela is Associate Professor in Nuclear Medicine at Amsterdam UMC and Chair of the PSMA Forum.
